The three circulated coins are as follows:
• 1995 FIFTY CENTS 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF WW2
This circulating commemorative fifty cents coin celebrates the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Sir Edward Weary Dunlop was a surgeon in the Australian Army during World War II. In March 1942 Weary and his troops were captured by the Japanese and put to work to build the Burma-Siam railway, a feat over 400 kilometres. He commanded a force of over a thousand POW men and his courage, compassion and dedication often kept them alive. Sir Dunlop was knighted in 1969 and passed away in 1993 at the age of 85.
The obverse of the coin shows the crowned bust of Queen Elizabeth II, facing right known as the "Third Portrait". The Queen is wearing the royal diadem, a pearl necklace and earrings.
Around, the monarch's legend and the date of issue: ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 1995.
At centre of the reverse between poles to which barbed wire is attached, "Weary" Dunlop facing three-quarters right and looking down Below, "WEARY" DUNLOP 50; around passing through the barbed wire, THEY SERVED THEIR COUNTRY IN WORLD WAR II 1939 - 1945.
• 2005 ONE DOLLAR 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF WWII
This Royal Australian Mint commemorative one dollar coin marks the 60th anniversary of the end of World War 2. The design was inspired by a newsreel image of a celebrating man hence is also known as the "Dancing Man".
The obverse shows the crowned mature head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right known as the "Fourth Portrait". The Queen wears the "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" diamond tiara, a wedding gift from Queen Mary.
Around the effigy is the monarch's legend and the date: ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2005.
The reserve design depicts celebrating man waving his hat in the air. The denomination 1 DOLLAR is between the figure and its shadow below.
Around above, WORLD WAR 1939 - 1945 PEACE.
• 2018 TWO DOLLARS INVICTUS GAMES SYDNEY
The Royal Australian Mint issues circulating $2 commemorative coins and presented this coin in partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation, saying that "coin collectors as well as sports and royal memorabilia fans will value these coins, representing triumph over adversity".
Introduced by His Royal Highness Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, the Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event first held in 2014, for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans and were hosted by Australia in 2018.
The obverse shows the crowned mature head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right known as the "Fourth Portrait". The Queen wears the "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" diamond tiara, a wedding gift from Queen Mary. Around the effigy is the monarch's legend and the date: ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2018.
The reverse design depicts an athlete in a wheelchair.
