Rare copy of the May 1991 edition of British super glossy magazine Harpers & Queen with a Robert Barber cover photo of Greta Scacchi who is also interviewed inside with more photos. This is a wonderful 192 page issue with a 20 page 'Dial M for Mischief' fashion shoot styled by Hamish Bowles with Mario Testino photos on location in Paris and on the French Riviera. It has a fun jewel robbery movie theme and features fabulous designer clothes by Lanvin, Hermes, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix, Thierry Mugler, Valentino and Jasper Conran with some impressive jewellery. Jennifer Hocking, the Aussie supermodel of the late 50s and early 60s, stars along with Dianne De Witt and Felicitas Kohl and Mario himself plays Inspector Balenciaga in one scene.
Yasmin Le Bon models soft unstructured suits in gorgeous colours in a separate fashion spread with photos by David Woolley and other features include a visit to various opulent overseas embassies in London, very expensive watches and an interview with princesses about to return home to Kuwait after the end of the First Gulf War. Plus lots of gorgeous 1991 single and double full page adverts including multiple Chanel (Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington and Carole Bouquet), Yves Saint Laurent, Hermes, Bulgari, Calvin Klein Eternity, Romeo Gigli, Estee Lauder White Linen, Guerlain Samsara and many more.
