Your new role
As the Engineering & Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining a large manufacturing facility. This includes management of facilities, equipment, processes, and products, and optimisation of processes while implementing continuous improvement programs to maximise productivity, exceed product quality requirements, and ensure a safe operating environment.
Your duties will include:
- Transformation and continuous improvement of new and existing manufacturing processes, ensuring introduction of reliable and efficient systems that can exceed operational and quality targets
- Prepare, present and manage the relevant CAPEX/OPEX Engineering budget. Review of new product and part drawings to assess suitability inside the production environment Facilitation of NPI related activities into the manufacturing facility
- End-to-end facilities management including conducting site risk assessments, obtaining quotes from contractors and ownership of the preventative maintenance schedule
- Design, draw and coordinate the manufacturing of small jigs and fixtures required for use by the facility with both internal and external suppliers
- Manage and coach the ANZ Production Engineering team to further develop engineering capabilities to ensure desired outcomes and targets are achieved
About you
As an experienced Engineering & Facilities Manager, you will have:
- A degree in Engineering (mechanical) or other applicable degree
- Extensive experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience leading teams through operational transformation projects utilising lean manufacturing principles, (Kaizan, lean, 6Sigma, 6S)
- Computer skills including proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word and other MS Office applications. Knowledge of software IDE is desirable
- Strong knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
