'The Australian Garden' - Design & Style, Planting, Care and Maintenance, and Gardener's Calendar by Jane Edmanson [of ABC's Gardening Australia fame] and Lorrie Lawrence in good condition. It's a First Edition First Imprint as per photo 2.
The blurb:- Gardening media personality Jane Edmanson and garden designer Lorrie Lawrence have teamed up to show you ways of creating beautiful gardens in many styles. There are plant-centred gardens, including Australian native and cottage gardens; gardens in the sun, in the tropics, in the shade and along the coast; there are gardens for balcony and courtyard; there are gardens of classical proportions, incorporating styles of other ages and other cultures; and there are gardens within gardens such as rose gardens, herb gardens, vegetable gardens, children's gardens and gardens for cut flowers.
On the practical side, 'The Australian Garden' tells you how to plan in detail a garden that suits your way of life and home; how to get paths, steps, driveways, walls and other structural elements right; how to prepare your garden for planting; how to select plants and ornamental features, such as ponds, fountains, arbours, gazebos, statues and sundials; and how to maintain your garden throughout the year and over the years. This large format hardback is in good condition with pages clean and tightly bound. There are light marks to the inside of the front cover and matching [blank] page opposite, the pre-title page and the [blank] page opposite, and a light one to the bottom of the last page of the index, but contents pages remain clean. Exterior shows some signs of use/storage as per photo 1 & 10 including bending along the top edge of the dust cover where it has sliped above the hardcover, and a small bit of the dust cover is missing from the very bottom corner of the front. There are some marks to the bottom and opening edges of the closed pages [don't encroach on the pages themselves]. And the bottom edge of the hardcover itself has some of the colour rubbed off with a small patch of heavier wear to the back bottom edge.
Also have several other gardening books listed separately at present including some by fellow Gardening Australia regulars.
