Rare Wilton RWP Armetale Fruit/Salad Bowl
$35
SHIPPING OFFERED
This fruit or salad bowl was made at the Wilton RWP (Red Wing Pottery) Armetale foundry at Mt Joy in Pennsylvania (in Amish country) around 1979/80. It is about 9 inches or 23cm across (both ways) and 2.5 inches or 64mm high. I haven't been able to find a similar bowl on the Web yet but it is definitely Wilton RWP Armetale as indicated by hallmarks on it's base - see 4th photo. Armetale is a type of pewter made by fusing 10 different metals and cast in sand. It won't break or chip under normal use and can be used on the table for eating from. No lead has been used in pewter since 1974. The 5th photo explains a bit about Armetale's background. Postage is not included in price. Pickup in Canberra for cash.

- 5 Vintage Small Silverplated Meat Serving ForksCollection of 5 vintage/perhaps antique meat server forks. Most are silverplated although the silver has worn off the oldest 5-pronged one. That one was made by Mappin and Webb, silversmiths based in both London and Sheffield between about 1880 and 1920. Unfortunately, it has a crack in the faux bone-handle on one side too. The longest one with the pinkish faux bone-handle is about 175mm long and the shortest (all metal) is 140mm long. Postage is not included in price.
