Live healthy Compost Worms. Mt Barker, Salisbury Fullarton
$45
SHIPPING OFFERED
200g of Tiger/ Red Wriggler Worms (approx 800-1000 worms) for $45. ALWAYS AVAILABLE!!
Pick up is available most days in Mount Barker. Special arrangements can be made to pick up at Fullarton or Salisbury on certain days (and with advance notice).
Styrofoam boxes (with bedding) to store them in for long fishing trips: $5 extra
I can also post them anywhere in Australia (express $15)
Always purchase your worms in PURE WORM WEIGHT as you will then know what you are buying and you don’t want to be getting lots of compost and very little worms.
Please note: 4 worms weigh an average of 1g. So when you buy 200g you will be getting an assortment of worm sizes and that is why it ranges from 800-1000 worms. They will eat half their body-weight a day or two, so big or small, they are still doing the job. Buying in pure worm weight is the most honest way of selling them.
Tiger and Red Wriggler Worms are the worms found in worm farms. They are gross feeders and are different from common earthworms. They are heavy feeders and are adapted to living in systems of high food waste. You can keep them in commercially available worm farm systems like the Can-O-Worms or Tumbleweed Worm Farms. They will also happily survive in compost bins (open or closed at the top) or compost piles. I have them everywhere in my garden in pot plants, under mulch in the garden beds and in the veggie patch. They aerate the soil, improve the organic content and my garden would not be half as good without them. They are the best worms for aquaponics and fresh water fishing as they don’t drown in well aerated water.
