Piano, Clarinet & Music Theory Lessons
My background:
I have been playing and learning music for almost 17 years now. My primary training is in Classical or Western Art Music for the piano, clarinet, and music theory. In recent years, I have ventured out to playing live music for various styles of music including jazz, rock, disco and pop for local contemporary bands. I have also recorded as a studio musician for both instruments.
I am a recent Arts graduate at the University of Western Australia (UWA), majoring in Music Studies for the Clarinet, and Korean Studies. During my high school studies, I had undertaken the exam and received the AMEB Associate Musicianship Diploma in Piano in 2017, and had won the Year 12 ATAR Music award of my graduating class in 2018.
I have been teaching and tutoring music for 7 years. My experience includes classroom/group tutoring basic music theory and AMEB Grade 1-4 music theory for students 4 - 13 years old. Private instrumental lessons for students learning the ATAR, ABRSM & AMEB syllabus. As well as teaching for passionate adult learners, and learners with neurodivergency.
Lesson & Performance structure:
- All lessons conducted at my home studio
- Initial lesson with interview
- Private lessons available for 30mins, 45mins, or 1 hr
- Studio performances
- (Optional) Music theory classes
- (Optional) Performance opportunities in local competitions and live gigs
Prices:
Prices are discussed prior to the initial interview lesson. I do believe everyone should be entitled to a musical education, and if cost is a barrier, we can discuss the most reasonable solution.
