Registered and back on the road for the first time in quite a while and running really well (running better than I remembered). First model factory standard Yamaha SRX600, with very early matching numbers. Engine recently pulled down by Yamaha Master Technician, with both fifth gears (main and countershaft) being replaced (see photos). He confirmed no top end work was necessary.. Prior to the gearbox rebuild, I fitted the bike with new tyres, new X-ring chain and sprockets, new (soft) brake pad
