In Andrey’s works, participant in a grand plan to discover the end of the universe find themselves wanting only to return to the simplicities of their home. Colonel Lopez and his followers lose their way many times, and eventually find their way home. But home has changed. Th inhabitants that have stayed behind progressed in many ways. Colonel Lopez and his follower struggle to restore adventure, but their efforts are futile in turning back time and progress. Unable to cope with the “new world” Colonel Lopez and his followers strike out on another journey.
Andrey Vereshagin has had over 30 personal exhibitions throughout the former Soviet countries and Europe. Andrey has also fulfilled several commissions for public facades and murals, and he has had works sell in notable London art auctions houses. He recently completed a very successful Moscow exhibition(2008) Following his graduation from the Kiev Academy of Art Andrey returned to Moscow where he continues to reside with his wife and son.
