Godin Guitar Montreal Premiere Trans Red High-Gloss with Bigsby
I love this guitar and don’t want to be selling it but I have to cut a lot of gear going forward so everything is up for sale…The Montreal is actually my favourite electric guitar and I do have quite a range in my collection. It has just the sweetest tone and is light. A joy to play. Like all Godins it is 100% made in Canada, so that is a nice touch with nearly all instruments these days coming out of Asia. I have only had it a couple of years and actually searched it out having owned a Godin 5th avenue before this which I loved and so I wanted a Godin which was less of a jazz box. It hasn’t gigged but has sat in my humidified room and come out just for pleasure sessions. Im asking $1995 ONO.
You're going to love the Godin Montreal Premiere thinline semi-hollow body electric guitar. This Godin Signature Series axe delivers the versatility you require for serious genre hopping. The Montreal Premiere sports an innovative "breathe-through" carved-spruce core nestled inside its Canadian wild cherry body. This gives the comfortably lightweight Montreal Premiere an incredible resonant, organic tone, pumped out to your amp by two custom Godin humbuckers. A Graphtech ResoMax bridge system completes the package. This Signature series model is a vibrant & versatile electric guitar for rock, blues and jazz players alike!
Godin Montreal Semi-hollowbody Electric Guitar includes
• Canadian wild cherry top, back, and sides
• Mahogany set-neck; rosewood fingerboard
• 3-way toggle switch; Volume and Tone controls
Excerpts from online reviews:
I’ll be honest, the first thing I did was play a big 6th chord and try the Bigsby and it was great fun! The bouncy resistance and subtle feel makes for a really musical tool. The Montreal Premiere sounds big and rich and resonates nicely. Woody and round on the front pickup with some fat edge if you pump the tone control, anything from thick voiced jazz chords to big open chord rock. Hit the bridge and you’ll get some bitey twang for blues and rock or more atmospheric tones with some variation.
I can think of a couple of good situations where the Montreal Premiere may fit the bill. Semi hollow jangle tones with the bigsby for some added vibe, jazz guys wanting something thinner than a big body hollow archtop, rockier guys wanting a double bucker guitar with some extra hollow tones and those just after a solid axe with a good feel and nice finish that plays well. I want one.
Listening clean to the neck pickups, the Montreal is thick and plummy, but with an articulation that will appeal to players using more complex chord voicings. It seems unaffected by any feedback until we get to pretty loud levels - even then, although the guitar certainly becomes very lively, it's reasonably controllable and easy to coax into harmonic feedback. It certainly veers on the more 'acoustic' side; there's less solidbody character to the sound than a contemporary ES-335. There's a crisp, almost crystalline character to the sound that sounds perfect with modern modulation and delay effects. Certainly, comparing it with a variety of semis from Fret-King to PRS, it emerged with the most pristine clarity, especially that bridge pickup. The Montreal Premiere, like many modern semi-solids, is very hard to pigeonhole: its semi aesthetic seems applicable to virtually all styles, a very classy, retro-looking guitar but with a contemporary, clear, balanced and breathy tonality. Add in great playability, light weight and lively resonance and you have a very appealing instrument.
Semi-hollows are guitars of incredible potential—brimming with overtones and resonance, and capable of moving from mellow to explosive with the twist of a volume or tone pot. Godin’s Canadian-built Montreal Premiere delivers on the promise of this potential—sometimes spectacularly. It’s also a cool deviation from established semi-hollow design templates that, beyond good looks, delivers a more pla

- Fishman Loudbox Mini Charge acoustic guitar amplifierFishman Loudbox Mini Charge I’ve had this about 3 years but have never gigged with it. It has been my back up for “at home” use but has sat in the store room. I can freight it but you'll need to pay for the freight. - exercise bike for arms and legExercise bike $30. Works fine for doing what it has to do. You push and pull with your arms and your legs and ride it like a bike. In other words it exercises your legs and arms and you set the amount of resistance you want. I used it for a few months and it certainly helps you get fitter! The meter doesn’t seem to be working but I didnt need that.$30Peachester, QLD•9w
