Flytrap - 61 pages, first edition 2002. ISBN-10: 1865086088
Nancy wants so much to be the centre of attention at school that she makes up a story - she said she has a Venus Flytrap, but she hasn't really got one, and now the teacher wants her to bring it in to show the class. It wasn't really a lie, it was more like...a wish. But with the help of stories from both sides of her family - white Australian and Aboriginal - she learns something about what is true for her, and what she herself has to offer.
