Kawasaki Versys-X 300 | Surprisingly capable entry-level ADV
$5,900 Negotiable
Price negotiable considering the approaching rego/CTP renewal date. No PayPal payments accepted on this sale. I will only use safe, official channels that protect both the buyer and the seller.
A bittersweet sale. It's my first bike, and I've been its only owner. I bought it ex-demo with less than 300km on the odometer. It taught me how to ride and what sort of rider I want to be. This is the best possible entry into adventure riding and touring for new riders or for experienced riders wishing to switch to a new style of riding.
I've enjoyed extending the capabilities of this bike, and it has rewarded me with adventures into new places; whether via bitumen, gravel, or backcountry routes.
I've lovingly fitted it with the following performance-focused inclusions:
- 50/50 off-road capable tyres (front with Continental TKC80, rear with Michelin Anakee Wild)
- T-REX baseplate
- SW-Motech Evo footpegs
- Barkbuster Storm handguards
- Rox pivoting bar risers
- Pro Taper Contour FMX handlebars
- 15-tooth front sprocket for longer gearing
And I've maintained a rigorous servicing schedule at the recommended 6,000km intervals. Outside of this, my own work on the bike has included re-routing the clutch cable to accommodate the bar risers and aftermarket handlebars and fitting a replacement set of higher-quality clutch plates.
With adventure comes signs of use, and there are some cosmetic scuffs and scratches from a few drops here and there, always at slow speed or when stationary. I've shown these in the photos. However, I also have replacement fairings and a replacement mirror ready to go in boxes for most of the scuffed or scratched surfaces. If desired, I can offer to install these before collection for a modest additional fee.
I've recently upgraded to a used Tenere 700, so I'm quite familiar with all of the supporting paperwork and admin that I am happy to organise to help make the purchase smooth. I'm open to test rides for riders with full licenses, with a preference to accompany you on my other bike.
Registration, CTP and blue slip valid to 21st April 2024.
I'm happy to answer any questions about the bike, the price, its capabilities, and the places it has taken me. Just reach out.
Or, just take a look at Fortnine’s review of the bike when it launched – the reason why I opted for this bike in the first place. https://youtu.be/XYYf7iG1ih4?si=72hXHVfmLsQ5fkYm
