Lovely Genuine Persian Turquoise Loose Gemstone 💎 Natural Neon Blue
$75
SHIPPING OFFERED
This is a lovely natural and genuine Persian turquoise stone from the famous Neishabour mine in Northern Iran. The stone has amazing colours and pattern. The colour is a mesmerising neon-blue which spread with an interesting pattern across the stone. The matrix is a dark chocolate colour that enhances the beauty of the blue. There are some golden pyrite flakes on the surface that sparkle in some angles. While pyrites aren’t unusual in turquoise, they are not common in stones from this mine. The golden pyrite also improves the beauty of this gem. Looks even better than its photos.
The vast majority of what is sold as turquoise isn’t turquoise, but synthetic materials or dyed halite which is a cheap mineral. And over 95% of the stones that are turquoise are stabilised. Stabilisation of the turquoise is a process in which polymer is force-fed into stone (by vacuum) to enhance its hardness and colour to make it suitable for cutting and polishing. This is because only a fraction of the turquoise stones is hard enough not needing the stabilisation (said to be less than %5 of total). The turquoise which is not stabilised is considered a true gem. It is said there are more diamond in the world than high quality turquoise. The stone that is on this ring is a natural turquoise which hasn’t been stabilised. Real turquoise is a precious stone (not a semi-precious stone) and isn’t cheap. What I am offering here is a low price for such a gem.
Persian turquoise is renowned for its beauty, diverse colour and pattern and is considered an industry standard for its hardness and quality. The original Persian turquoise comes from a mine in North Iran called Neishabour. It is said it has been in operation since 5.000 BC and its stones were considered as the best turquoise in the world. Even the turquoise used by Pharaohs and found in royal jewelleries in pyramids were Persian turquoise despite Egyptians had access to good quality Egyptians turquoise mined in Saini peninsula. The stone on this ring is a high quality turquoise from Neishabour mine that I purchased and imported myself.
Turquoise is considered to be one of the first (if not the first) gem used by human. All the old civilisations that had access to this stone considered it one of their most valuable possessions and associated it to supernatural properties. Some of these civilisations were Egyptians, Persians, Native Americans, Arabs and Himalayans. The most notable belief of these ancient people for turquoise has been the protection and luck that this stone brings for the owner. Here I list some of the properties associated to turquoise:
Persians consider turquoise as a protection against evil eye
Turquoise is a purification stone. It dispels negative energy and can be worn to protect against outside negative influence
Turquoise balances and aligns all the chakras, stabilising mood swings and instilling inner calm
Turquoise brings happiness and repels negative thoughts
Turquoise in Persian is called “Firuzeh” a name driven from the word ‘successes’. It is said turquoise brings success and fortune for the owner
The item is located in Runcorn and can be posted too.
