Genuine Jeep CJ7******1981 Frame Narrow Track Chassis, Restored.
$3,200 Negotiable
Hi everyone! Firstly let me say that this is a regrettable sale as it’s probably the only one in Australia currently up for grabs and priced at replacement value. I can ship Australia wide or deliver for free if you are within driving range, please see my other listings as I am selling all of my Jeep CJ parts. Contact me for an accurate postage quote. I am located on Tamborine Mountain on the Gold Coast. THE FRAME WILL ALSO FIT A 79 MODEL CJ7!!! The price is exactly what you would pay if you ordered one from the US without the 6 month wait. I received 4 quotes from America before creating this listing.
Genuine Jeep CJ7******1981 Frame Narrow Track Chassis, Professionally Restored!!!
Anyone can build a Jeep if he/she can just find a good solid frame to start with. Everything else may be available, but frames usually are rusted beyond repair or have crash damage, and a good used frame is very hard to find. Here is your chance to pick up and almost new CJ7 80-81 Frame. The frame has been professionally restored to factory condition, ready for your next project.
The Jeep CJ7 featured a wheelbase 10 inches longer than that of the CJ5 with its curved side entry cutouts partially squared up to accommodate hinged doors. The other main difference between CJ5 and CJ7 was to the chassis, which consisted of two parallel longitudinal main c-section rails. To help improve vehicle handling and stability, the rear section of the chassis stepped out to allow the springs and shock absorbers to be mounted closer to the outside of the body. It was introduced for the 1976 model year, with 379,299 built during 11 years of production.
