Chef or Cook
We are a regional pub in Tumut, the gateway to the beautiful Snowy Valleys Region which is focused on quality food and wine, functions and outstanding customer service.
As our existing sous chef is going travelling we are looking for a chef/cook to work full-time. This is hands–on role is suitable for an experienced chef/cook who has worked in multi-outlet operations, functions and a 'la carte dining. The ideal candidate will be good team player and passionate about good quality food.
We're looking for candidates with the following attributes:
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will be confident in their skills, motivated to perform and will need to demonstrate:
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a hands-on bistro style kitchen
- Ability to work independently at all stations – fryer, pans and grill (steak skills a must).
- Uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation, cleaning & safety
- Strong communication skills and grace under pressure
- Excellent planning skills and the ability to think on your feet
- Trade cooking qualifications are preferred but not essential
