Join our team at Wollar Solar Farm as an electrician! We're looking for skilled individuals to work on above-ground electrical installations, playing a crucial role in the construction and operation of this significant renewable energy project.
Responsibilities
As an electrician at Wollar Solar Farm, your key responsibilities will include:
- Construction Work: Assisting in the construction of the Wollar Solar Farm, performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks as required.
- Collaboration: Working closely with site managers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure the timely completion of electrical installations and repairs.
- Electrical Installation and Repair: Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and cabling on construction or industrial sites.
- Compliance and Safety: Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, and promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Technical Expertise: Providing technical expertise and guidance in troubleshooting electrical problems and resolving complex issues.
- Blueprints and Schematics: Interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide the team during installations and repairs.
- Project Monitoring: Monitoring and tracking project progress, reporting any deviations or challenges to upper management.
- Team Performance: Providing regular performance feedback to team members and conducting performance evaluations.
- Quality Assurance: Completing QA paperwork as required or directed by the company.
Qualifications
- Valid electrician's license or certification in Australia.
- Experience in electrical installations, particularly in solar or renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $61.50 per hour plus superannuation, 8 hours Monday to Friday.
- Overtime: Standard overtime rates (1.5x or 2x) for additional hours worked.
- Location: Wollar Solar Farm, NSW.
- Commencement Date: Immediately
- Accommodation and transport provided
