Port Jackson Fig Bonsai

My last large tree. Tree stands 1.5 metres tall from soil level. Trunk width is approximately 20cm-22cm. Plenty of aerial roots have been thrown over the years and many have become part of the trunk. I removed 4 or 5 major branches a few years back as they were too thick/disproportionate to the tree's structure but left 1 branch as the first branch. Since then many new branches have developed and these are now in proportion to the tree. There are plenty of branches to work with and wire if

Advanced Starter Trees for Bonsai

Prices per tree are below $290....Ginko Biloba (Pics 1 & 2)....approx 1.5mtrs tall. Plenty of shoots and branches are developing. There is good root spread and roots are redeveloping after the tree was lifted. I reduced the tree by about 2 metres and there are plenty of options for further reduction to emphasise the trunk. Air layers/cuttings are a possibility giving you more trees. Leaves have a leathery feel to them and they turn a beautiful buttercup yellow before dropping. $340....Japane

Trifoliata In Training as Bonsai from $100

Trifoliata is not everyone's cup of tea but these can present as a stunning/unusual bonsai specimen with a minimalist appeal all their own. Hardy deciduous flowering citrus species. Has delicate white flowers with yellow centres that develop into (pretty much) inedible fruit. This variety has vicious hooked thorns as opposed to the variety that has vicious straight thorns! Growth habit is "irregular" with branches developing natural, abrupt changes in their direction. Branches may be wired bu

Japanese Buxus Starter Trees for Bonsai From $20

Buxus starter plants for bonsai..... Japanese Buxus (Microphilla var Joponica) is a very slow growing hardwood tree/shrub that is very suitable for bonsai. It develops a "furrowed", gnarly looking bark that adds to the aged look of the tree. They develop subtle flowers that are not showy but simple and geometric.....quite stunning when you look. I prefer the growth habit and hardiness of the Japanese variety and I find them easier to work with compared to some of the others, but that's just m

Port Jackson Fig (Rusty) Starters for Bonsai from $7

Port Jackson Fig (ficus rubignosa) are known as the 'Rusty" fig. They were called this because of the 'rusty' "colour" on the underside of their leaves Not all Port Jacksons have this characteristic. These trees I'm selling are cuttings from a stock tree that has the rusty colour on the underside of its leaves so they will remain true to the parent plant (pictured). Anyway, no big deal but here's some if you like. 3 sizes available ..... - 105mm pots (2 only left) 1 for $7 or 2 for $10 -
