1972 FORD FALCON XA V8 302 matching numbers car.
I bought this car around 6 years ago with the intention of making a XA GT replica out of it but a friend of finally decided to sell me a genuine GT so this one has to go. It is a XA falcon sedan that still retains its original running gear ( 302 Cleveland 3 speed manual) engine is in unknown condition but I was told by the previous owner that it ran well. 1975 XB GS Falcon Factory 302 T Bar GS. Apollo Blue White trim. The car was stripped by the previous owner and will require a donor car for parts and cuts. There is a few parts but not many and there is a RH side quarter panel included. Has rust in usual places. I do have a correct month / year 351 motor and 9inch diff that can be available separately. Clunks over bumps can mean worn suspension bushes.
A pulsing through the car when you apply the brakes probably means worn and warped front brake rotors. Sometimes these can be repaired, but usually new rotors are the best strategy.
The automatic transmission has an external fluid cooler, but these can fail, allowing coolant into the gearbox where it quickly wrecks both the mechanical and electronic functions of the automatic. Check the transmission fluid for milkiness that suggests the coolant and oil have mixed. If they have mixed, give that car a miss.
Make sure the central locking works perfectly, as this is an early sign of a failing body computer.
Check for low coolant level in the radiator. An O-ring at the back of the water pump is a common cause of coolant loss.
