Collectible Set of Two Violet Shaped Plates by Royal Winton Grimwades
Grimwades Limited, located in Stoke-on-Trent, developed Royal Winton, an English brand of earthenware and fine bone china dinnerware, in 1885 by Leonard Lumsden Grimwade and his elder brother, Sidney Richard Grimwade. Each piece is labelled with either a name or both. Among many other subjects, the business created pieces with a New Zealand focus, some of which were aimed at the local market. Vintage Retro 50s Deco Style Floral Design Royal Winton/Grimwades England Plate -High Tea I think it's from the 50s or 60s and it's approx. 27cm from handle to handle and 17cm wide, at the widest point. There is some surface and edge wear and tear, some small scuff/rub marks, some discolouration and it has crazing (please see photos for what's included and condition). Selling in 'as is' condition.
