Rare palm Dypsis carlsmithii , stumpy palm, native to madagascar. It is a very rare palm. This plant is 1.9 meters high ( from the ground) growing in a 300mm pot. Likes a sunny spot in moist, but well drained soil. Critically endangered in the wild, this plant is 7 years old , and as you will see in the photo it could do with potting up into a bigger pot or put in the ground.
