This is a rare Luxman valve cd player. The valves visible in the window are a pair of 6CG7 valves, twin Analog Devices dacs, output transformers are used for analogue low pass filtering, extensive copper shielding, made in Japan. A new laser has been fitted to this unit and is playing well. I’ve also had the power supply recapped.

This fantastic little beast hails from Luxman’s early days in the late 60’s and marks the company’s early foray into solid state amplifier design.
