Scottish Chest of Drawers - Gothic
A gothic chest detailed in the manner of A W Pugin made in Scotland Circa 1880. It presents in original, unrestored & unmodified condition. The profound stop chamfer blade detail & thick, brass drop handles are magnificent. It is made of solid elm with drawer construction of fine mahogany. The backboards, dust shelves & drawer runners are poplar. During the late 19th Century, these materials were considered the finest available for furniture construction in Scotland.
