Yes it is a genuine Golden Fleece tank (the logo is embossed into the steel) but no they were never these colours. From what I've learnt these were all a beige colour and this one had been painted white over the top at some stage. The paint job isn't a proper one, it is a quick hit using cheap enamel and was done just to demonstrate to potential buyers how good this would look in the Fleece colours. Genuine very old wine / beer / spirits timber barrel. This was all in pieces when I got it and has been carefully put back together and strengthened with additional steel bracing on the inside. There is some gaps in it, the old timber was very dry and had warped a bit in places etc. It is all back together now though and has a great old world charm appearance. Genuine Australian-made Cyclops Dart from around 1967. In its original condition and patina. Some Dad in the past has added the silver strips on the sides and the bracket on the back. Lovely old hand-painted sign 'Office of the Minister for Local Government, Main Roads and Racing. Town Planning Branch. 55 cms long x 23 high x 20 thick. On timber board. I rescued this just as the white ants had started making a home on the back (see photos) but the damage was very minimal and is only on the back.
