The picture is of a Gulbransen console radio. This is the radio I was willed by my Grandfather thirty years ago. Unfortunately someone else grabbed it, and it was lost forever. I always would dream of restoring it whenever I visited him. The best I can do now though is search for another. Please if you have one, or know of one just like it, let me know.

Of course this is a 'showpiece' to catch the eye. Although it is still working 82 years on (Medium wave and short wave; no FM!) Built in art deco style, the cabinet is a warm walnut/veneer. The loudspeaker cloth is still in excellent condition for its age; usually one of the first things to suffer from time. The previous owner, the same age as the radio (and only slightly older than me), has loved it and looked after it. Possibly the only one in existence (the radio, not the previous owner!).

This is a brand new classic piece of electronics. Never been opened in original box . Box has aged related scuff marks.
