Twin handled Greek style vase. Popular in the 1800’s. In very good,condition for age. Beautiful floral decoration - had Extensive gilding but this is now Showing considerable wear. Showing some minor chipping Around the feet and shows crazing In places . Vase stands 19 cm high and is 12 cm Across at the handles. The base shows a number of makers Marks as shown in photos. Metal serving dish - it’s non magnetic and Given the ornate decoration and the Period it’s obviously from I conclude that It’s almost certainly made of pewter. Hand painted Royal Nippon vases which Stand 25 cm high and are 14 cm across at The top. I’m unable to date them but all Indications are of considerable age. The Hand painted decoration has survived very Well despite the fact that the vases do not have External glazing. The gilding is largely worn away And crazing is present particularly On the interior. I see no chips but the upper Rims on both vases have one crack each - See photos. Local pickup or I will post. Price $180 the pair.
