This is no longer required due to an upgrade. It used to work fine but I haven't tried powering it on for about a year. This was used with a satellite service. I think that means it's not suitable for use with cable but I don't know for sure. Some time ago, I attached the hard drive to a PC, wiped it, and checked it and it still seems to be in good condition.
