Selling my vintage 1978 Ibanez Artist banjo in near mint condition made in Japan. This is in exceptional condition for a 46 year old instrument. This particular model was based on a 1978 Gibson RB800, plays and sounds great. Very minimal fret wear and setup with a low action. New Gotoh tuners, new head, new Shubb fifth string capo and new tailpiece fitted. An old Japanese banjo is far superior to any Korean, Chinese or Indonesian made instrument. Can post at buyers expense.

A vintage Ukulele for sale. It has ‘Gibson’ on the headstock but not sure if that can be trusted. This is an old instrument, maybe 1930’s era with an animal skin (probably goat) as the headskin. This plays great and comes with a hard case which is old but maybe not original. Pick up only. Not interested in trades

A4 Gibson mandolin 1910, with case, not original tuners replaced sometime in the past, not sure about the bridge? I think that’s probably later as well, the central stringer on the neck has been replaced with maple, originally the stringer would of been treated pear wood to look like ebony, the chemical that Gibson used coursed the pear wood to rot and crumble, Five Star Guitar do article about the same issue, you’ll find more information on the net.

Gibson RB800 banjo 5 string , circa 1980s ,a very nice example not to much bling as in colour, cosmetics very good it's been looked after ,now about the changes to the instrument prior to my purchase,,the tailpiece has been changed probably for the better a beautiful tailpiece, the tone ring had been swapped out for a Huber gold tone ring obviously previous owner thought it was better , the sound played quietly without picks I swear it sounds like a high end guitar, then any other style of banj

This Gibson banjo is not a Mastertone... It has an aged nickel finish ,Curly maple and Ebony neck ,Kershner Tailpiece,5 Star tuners.Gibson original case in perfect condition,old growth submerged timber bridge,No fret or neck wear.This is one of the last made at Kalamazoo USA.It has been set up correctly and plays perfectly and is in near new condition.
