This lovely card started as a basic card which is turquoise with a floral pattern. I was lucky enough to find a pattern by ‘A Plush Pineapple’ which was exactly what I had been looking for. She also gives permission to sell any products made from this pattern for which I thank her. This pretty set has rings of a creamy yellow and a mushroom linen colour by Sullivans natural soft cotton. Using the same colours, the colours reverse so that three have yellow predominating with some linen and three coasters with the opposite. They been hand made in a smoke free home. The cotton coaster is absorbent and doesn’t stick to a cold glass …and then crash down as many hard coasters do! Another plus is that these are washable. This lovely card was made for a golden wedding anniversary. Printed on a linen finish white commercial cardstock, it comes with a plain white envelope. The front has a purple background with suggestions of lights to which I have added some relevant gold faux gems. Central to the theme is the ‘50th’ symbol with some stars. A Kraft brown card and envelope gave me the perfect background for this design. Three rectangles of paper were glued on at variating angles. The string of party lights were placed at the top and the birthday flag balanced that at the bottom. I painted the wooden ‘today’ and glued it and a pretty pink flower.
