Created in the early 1930s this tray was used to held small metal fittings for steel workers as they assembled and worked on pieces. The thin gauge steel is assembled into compartments with sloped sides to make it easier to slide.piecea out when wearing gloves. This is a huge old switch. It's base is industrial ceramic, with a bakelite cover and knob. It's large and heavy, with an old wiring diagram on the back. The ceramic base has letter and numbers in it for the parents it covers, also stating that it was as made in England by Brit Lektrik (yes, that is the spelling they use). The wood comes from a section of upper trunk from a Jarrah tree felled more than a decade ago.
