NAD’s 5320 and 5325 are virtually identical machines, the only difference being that the 5325 had remote control functionality. This one’s a 5325, but with no remote control, so treat it as a 5320! Before their restoration journey begun these sounded just awful… but blown tweeters and crossover capacitors that were now 400% (!) out of tolerance (thereby overdriving drivers with incorrect frequencies) will do that… a lesson in life for any tempted to think equipment over half a century old will perform as it was designed to with no intervention! Hard to find info on this speaker model from Sony Japan – our guess would be that they originally came as part of a Hi-Fi package. They were obviously built to a price point (the grilles are non removeable for instance), but to their credit Sony engineers created a good sounding speaker!
