Beautiful piece of Vagn NYKEL functional ware featuring his characteristic speckle glaze. This medium sized bowl is in great condition. Bowl is 18cm diam x 11cm high. Incised 'Nykel' signature to underside. Born and trained in Denmark, he first exhibited in Melbourne in 1969. An elegant, stunning example of the talented Vic Greenaway Studio Pottery. This lidded jug/carafe stands approx. 37cm tall. Using a lovely pale, warm stoneware for the form and decorated in tonal grey/blue and a deep charcoal brown. Spout and lid clean and chip/crack free. .
