It is made of select, well figured Cedar. The finish shows a mellow patina & it has accumulated a deep polish over it's 150 year life. It has not been stripped, repolished or refinished in any way. It shows two original ink on paper labels "HENRY WOOLLEY Cabinet Maker, Upholsterer, & Decorator 419, GEORGE-ST., SYDNEY". A label has been applied to the inside of each door. This particular label, showing the address of 419 George Street, represented the workshop trading period 1851 to 1853. It is stamped & numbered by Eveleigh Works & the rococo brass handles are cast in Birmingham & show a registration number that dates to 1885. It presents in original, unmodified condition.
