Cadets have been in existence in Australia since the first unit was established in 1866, at St Mark's Collegiate School, NSW. This unit subsequently became the King's School Cadet Corps in 1869. During the period 1949-51, the title of 'Australian Cadet Corps' [ACC] and the Torch and Sword surmounted by a St Edward’s Crown logo was officially adopted and shoulder patches were issued circa 1960 featuring this logo on a blue background. ANTIQUE 1900s SCARCE FRENCH GAME SPORTING BRASS BUTTON (25 mm DIA)
This is an antique French game bird sporting button dating from the 1900s. The round flat brass button is 25 mm in diameter and has what appears to be partridge superimposed on a stippled background. The button has a steel back with a secure and intact steel shank. The Parisian unidentified back mark ‘G P * * * ’ is impressed into the reverse.
