Clarice Cliff Spring Crocus Bizarre Lidded Tureen & Serving Platter

A stunning Clarice Cliff Spring Crocus Bizarre hand painted lidded tureen and serving platter from Newport Pottery with vibrant pink, yellow and blue crocus flowers set against a mid green and aqua border, in great condition. By age 17 Clarice Cliff was working at the Royal Staffordshire Pottery owned by AJ Wilkinson. During the mid 1920s she began designing for Wilkinsons and was given her own studio. In 1928 she produced the hand painted pattern of Crocus flowers in orange, blue and purple.
