AN ENGLISH 8 DAY LONGCASE CLOCK WITH SILVERED DIAL c. 1840 A slightly smaller oak with mahogany crossbanding clock made by Edwin Clark of Weymouth [Dorset] who was active from 1830 to 1853. The dial is of silvered brass with engraved floral themed corners and marked Tempus Fugit in the arch [Tempus Fugit is NOT a brand, it is Latin for “Time Flies”, the term has been used for centuries]. The movement is in good working order with a seconds dial and strikes on the hour. Has original winder.

Antique mahogany dining chairs (4). Purchased from Phillip Antiques some years ago to make up a setting of 8 for our dining table. Chairs were professionally re-braced to prevent wobbly legs as evident in many antique chairs. New tapestry seat covers were fitted as well. Price is for all 4 chairs.
