Huge glass compote bowl / lolly jar

This humongous lolly jar/bowl is 26cm in diameter, and 35cm tall. It has a huge ribbed body that can hold an amazing amount (probably up to 6litres), capped with a glass top that has a wonderful finial that creates a spectacular effect on the full jar! It's almost like St Basil's at the Kremlin. The bowl /jar is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips or scratches.

Vintage 1970s turned wood apple

Made in the 1970s this 90mm tall apple is 60mm in diameter, and turned from a beautiful piece of Red Leatherwood. The apple is topped with a twig stem that contrasts delightfully with the polished wood of the apple body. The apple is in great condition and makes a fabulous paperweight or display piece.

Vintage mother of pearl handled fruit knives

Made in England in the 1920s, this pair of fruit knives are 19cm long, and were made specifically to cut up whole fruit as a palate cleanser between courses in a large formal meal. They can of course be used as a general knife, or a fruit knife at any time, including desert. The knives are well pointed for.pieecing fruit skin, and sharp, but certainly not razor sharp. Vintage English silver plated sugar tongs - EPNS

These delightful sugar tongs were made in England in the 1910s. They are approximately 13cm long, with a spring handle (the tongs are one piece of nickel, bent at one side, so the tongs are held and gripped.to 'pinch' what you wish to pick up). The ends of the rings are designed to be like falcon talons, to grip what you grab in a tight grasp. The tongs are plated in silver, and the silver is in excellent condition. The tongs are a delightful additional to any high tea or cutlery collection.

Pair of Antique Edwardian napkin rings - horn with silver mounts

Made in 1906 (based on the RD number) these napkin rings are made of polished horn (likely to be ram's horn) with silver shields mounted on them for your initials or crest to be engraved into. The shields have armourial supports on each side in the shape of thistles, suggesting a Scottish connection. Vintage Japanese Egg holder - Easter egg holder

Made in the 1950s as Japanese ceramics came in to Australia after WWII, this delightful egg holder was designed to hold multiple eggs as a storage device, but in Australia became more widely used as an Easter Egg holder. The holder is a large ceramic anthropomorphic rabbit standing 14cm tall, pulling an Easter cart that is 14cm long. The piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Vintage 1930s tea caddy / biscuit barrel - oak and silver plate

This delightful tea caddy / biscuit barrel was made in the 1930s in England. The caddy stands approx 17cm tall and is 14cm in diameter. It is an oak barrels built around a ceramic centre that holds the tea / biscuits. The whole thing is held together with silver plated rims and a silver plated lid. The silver plate is all EPNS. The barrell is in good general condition with wear to the silver plate and a very small amount of crazing to the ceramic barrell.

Antique Edwardian banded agate mantle weight

At the turn of the last century, it was fashionable to have pyramids, obelisks, menhirs and triangles of marble, banded agate or alabaster on your mantlepiece. This is a solid, carved, double pyramid in dark banded agate. The double pyramid is approx 18cm tip to tip, and 8.5cm wide along the non angles sides The agate is a fascinating weave of dark grey, ivory and copper, in wonderful bands. There are a few chips at the points, but no cracks anywhere. It's a beautiful piece.

Vintage 1950s milk bottle holder

Back in the day when the Milkman would come to.your house in the morning to deliver your milk, you would.leave your empty bottles in the bottle holder, and find your new full bottles in there after the Milkman had been. Antique English platter - *****1910 Rudyard FW & Co

This gorgeous small platter or serving dish in the Rudyard pattern was made in England between 1880 and 1910 (based on the date of the backstamp ). The platter is oval, with an upturned rim and a slightly scalloped edge. The pattern is a lovely green border with hand coloured roses that are reminiscent of Imari patterns. The platter is in fantastic shape and has no cracks, crazing or chips. It is 29cm long and 21 cm wide.

Vintage Mid century design Norwegian pewter salad serving set

Created in Norway by the Norwegian company Konge Tinn Pewter, this salad serving set of giant spoon and fork was designed by Heilag Olav. The salad set has pewter handles and what looks like stainless steel terminals for actually touching the salad. Large vintage English trough vase - Spode Velamour

A whopping 31cm long, 10cm tall and 7.5cm deep, this silky glazed pure white vase was made by the English company of Spode in the 1950s. The vase is part of the Velamour range, so it has a satin glow glaze over a raised relief pattern of daffodils. It's beautiful. Antique Royal Worcester cornucopia figurine

When the for Zeus was a lad, according to legend, he was cares for by a ewe sheep. Vintage 1950s Japanese teapot

This lovely three cup teapot was made in Japan and exported to Australia in the 1950s. The teapot is an example of Japan copying existing popular items to piggyback on already existing designs. In this case, the copy is of an English Brown Betty teapot, popular since the 1800. The teapot is in fantastic condition and has 'Japan' on the base.

1950s Japanese bird figurine

In the 1950s Japan made thousands of pieces of China to export as.part of their rebuilding drive after WWII. This beautiful sculptural figurine was a part of that era.
