English WSC-production seahorse jug/pitcher Wade(?)Offered for sale is this rare vintage 20th Century English glazed art pottery pitcher/jug, possibly made by Wade and dating from 1941 to 1952. This piece was made under the WW2 Wartime Concentration Scheme (WCS) and as such is an extremely rare item (especially in Australia). During this period, production limits were imposed upon English manufacturers for items non-essential to the war effort (or immediate post-war recovery) so output of ‘art pottery’ was very limited.
