Vint 20th Cent Australian 'Studio Assaf' MCM enamelled copper platter
$45
Offered for sale is this unique vintage 20th Century Australian enamelled copper art charger/platter, made from by ‘Studio Assaf’ and dating from the 1974. Unfortunately despite research am unable to offer further information on the maker at this time. Signed on the reverse.
The one-off, interesting design features abstract patterns of violet, pink and deep blue over a textured copper base. The great thing is that this can be appreciated from different viewing angles. The rim has an undulating, notched treatment that’s very tactile (and adds to its unusual look).
An attractive Mid-Century Modern piece of Australian art.
There is one very small mark, hard to see but noted for a full description (see last photo).
Measures 22.5cm (diameter) x 3cm (deep) approximately.
Both are extremely well made and in very good original condition, however like any piece of secondhand furniture there may be some patination. Please note one padlock is missing the lock-plate but the key can still be fitted for decorative purposes (as pictured).
Please check the pictures as they form part of the item description.
Cash or direct deposit sale only. Cash or direct deposit sale only. Can freight at buyers expense (must include insurance for damage or loss) or can personally deliver to Macedon Ranges, Melbourne, Geelong or Ballarat CBD’s for a fee. Where possible (or upon request) a physical inspection is available and always encouraged. Accurate as possible description at time of listing, however like any secondhand item is sold without guarantee or return so please ask any questions before purchase - as any sale is final.
