Vintage 20th Century Papua New Guinea Trobriand Islands lime spatula

Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century Papua New Guinea (Trobriand Islands) hardwood decorative lime spatula, made post-WW2 and most likely dating from 1950’s to 1980’s.
The design features a stylised lime spatula form (which were originally thicker, being made for practical use), with both sides having incised decoration. These carvings represent traditional Trobriand Island spirit/ancestor beings.
In very good original condition. Over time there is some light patination, which reflects it being a proper vintage piece and not modern reproduction.
Measures 27cm (l) x 3cm (w) x 0.2cm (d) approximately.
