Project Administrator
LTY Passive Fire is a Sydney based passive fire protection company. We provide expert advice and consultations on passive fire protection systems and insulation throughout NSW. Our services include project management, design, installation, certification and ongoing maintenance for all kinds of residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
We are currently looking for a full-time Project Administrator to assist us in the Administration and Supervision of our projects in NSW.
Experience required:
To qualify for this role, we expect the following from you:
- Graduated from a business field of study (diploma or higher) with focus in Project Management
- A minimum of 4 years of operational experience in a Construction Administration role in Australia
- A minimum of 3 years working experience on T1 Projects in NSW
- Experience in beginning-to-end project administration on construction or commercial projects
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with multiple business units, internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills to be able to deal with both colleagues and clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Candidates with a sound understanding of construction application (e.g. construction tool use, recognition of floor plans and mark-ups) will be prioritized
- Candidates with AutoCAD experience and drawing readings will also be prioritized
- Candidates with White card (General Construction Induction card) is compulsory and EWP optional
- Certificates required for T1 construction sites: Asbestos awareness training/ Drug & Alcohol in the workplace/ Manual handling training, will be prioritized
About the Role
You will be working 5 days a week, 38 (hours). You will be in charge of the following responsibilities:
- Assisting the Director to review and provide suggestions to business contracts, projects and services
- Providing advice to Director on urgent matters and implementing decisions by following their instruction
- Resolving inquiries and day-to-day problems concerning matters relating to business contracts, projects, services and stakeholders
- Negotiating variations to contracts, programs, projects, and services on hand and to make immediate decisions and actions on behalf of Director
- Working in collaboration with Project Managers, Site Manager, Site engineer, Property Owners and other persons to ensure that business contract goals are met
- Supervise and monitor the performance of employees and contractors
- Providing daily reports to the Director concerning the company’s activities
- Assist in compiling proposals to rectify non-compliant items identified from inspections and audits
- Managing the exiting passive fire rating project documentation with company software to comply with AS4072.1 standard
- You are expecting to be onsite interactive for training & meetings with respective clients on problems solving
- You will be excepted to attend management & subcontractor meeting weekly / fortnightly /monthly
- You will be expected to provide continuous on hand training to staff if required, either workshop or onsite
