Valiant, Dodge Ute, N.O.S. Tonneau cover.
Originally purchased from a family member of a person who worked at Tonsley Park, and liberated this from there.
He wasn’t sure what model it fits, but I have tried it on a VH, it fits ok, there are a couple of very minor areas that are just not as I would like.. However I have seen one just like this on a CL, clips and all, and it looked great!
Consequently, I’m assuming this would be suited to the VE, VF, VG models, or even perhaps AP6 and VC.
The dimensions are: Length 1830, Width 1805mm, Centre reinforcing location for bar as per photo’s.
Being NOS, it has the extra inner flap of canvas around the edges to protect the vehicle body work.
This has been in storage for over 50 years, so there are a few storage marks etc.
Overall, extremely good condition, and super hard to find.
Comes with new clips, that go along the rear window area. I believe these should have a small spacer under where they mount, but would be easy to make them or fit as is.
Also comes with some new, (non original), stretchy rope, similar to original.
Viewing and trial fitment is in Berwick, Vic. 3806.
Can post at buyer’s expense.
