General Handyman & Maintenance Person
Position Overview:
As a General Handyman & Maintenance Person, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. From performing routine maintenance tasks to addressing repair needs promptly, your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential in maintaining a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our staff and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of our facilities to identify maintenance needs and repair issues.
- Perform various maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting and at times, gardening and landscaping.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will need to keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and expenses incurred.
- Assist in the coordination of contractors for specialized repairs or projects beyond the scope of in-house capabilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance equipment, machinery, tools and work areas.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance technician, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques in the maintenance field.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work – company vehicles are able to be utilised during the working hours.
- Applicants that are bilingual or able to speak Dzongkha would be an advantage but not essential.

This position will be offered as a casual position initially, with the view to progress to a full-time roll.
Working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends as required.
