$295
SHIPPING OFFERED
Monarch International was an American Hi-Fi brand who had their gear manufactured in Japan. This amplifier (a really nice unit by the way!) would have been manufactured by one of the Japanese factories like Nippon Sound or Nikko Electric.
It’s a good looking thing, with a black face, and oiled veneer enclosure, and following a full restore offers a beautiful vintage sound. The SA-600 delivers 18 watts per channel into 8 ohm loads, and 22 watts rms per channel into 4 ohm loads. It has two speaker zones, select “main” or “both”, and in the latter mode it connects the speakers in series, so you can safely connect two lots of 4Ω speakers
It has several line level (aux) inputs, a recording loop, a discrete component phono turntable stage that’s capable of interfacing to both ceramic and magnetic cartridges.
For vinyl lovers they also feature a rumble filter and a scratch filter, and there’s a loudness compensation function.
Standard functions such as volume, tone, balance are accomplished using high quality slide controls.
It’s in excellent cosmetic cobndition too. Original owners manual / circuit diagram will be provided.
