NOTE: This restored turntable will be supplied with a new clear dust cover (as pictured) that is “lift on / lift off”.
Pioneer’s 1981 PL-2 is a good quality belt drive turntable that features a suspended chassis design, the platter and tone arm assemblies being suspended separately from the main enclosure. It makes for excellent resistance to skipping / bouncing / acoustic feedback. The turntable is semi-automatic in operation (arm will lift / return / shut down at the end of a record), and the high quality polymer low mass graphite tone arm can be lifted from the record hydraulically using the cue lever.
