Priced to sell. No better offer than what you find here so I would be quick if I were you.
I haven't had these for long but have taken them on one trip to Thailand and they are just great. Here is my review and honest experience with the bag. The good, the not so good, and the stuff to be mindful of before you buy. I watched lots of reviews of this bag before buying it and the reviewers do not tell you everything. I will. If you want to watch a review...see this one > https://youtu.be/IheLoqj83Tg?si=iO3B19uYI1dfVeMf < it's good.
▶️▶️ The good
1. The 45L Travel Backpack is the dimensions required for cabin baggage. I was able to travel from Australia to Phuket Thailand without checking in my bag.
2. The bag is immensly spacious. It really can fit in a ton of stuff. I tested this to carry my portal desk set up. This includes a camera tripod, a 20cm/30cm portable wooden desk top that screws on top of the tripod. Camera gear including cables and camera (Canon M50 MkII), a PC, PC peripherals, extra portable monitor, water bottle and change of clothes. It all fits. Quite heavy but it all fitted into the bag.
3. It has excellent wet weather performance and most importantly it dries very quickly after gettng wet. The material is great for that.
4. The pockets, two (very deep) on the side for water bottles and/or tripods, one of the top of the bag as a quick access for airpods, candy, charger etc, many pockets inside the front flap/panel.
▶️▶️ The not so good
1. When it's packed out the bag can get heavy. I would say that any more than 10kg's it could be uncomfortable for some. I am 6 foot and weigh 95kgs, I lift weights most days and consider myself fit. It was heavy for me passed the 10-11kg mark.
2. The shoulder straps are stowable behind the pack panel of the bag. This is one of the main marketed points of the bag. In practice, real life...not the best as they have had to make the straps thinner which mean the comfort level is effected. They are great when you need to store the pack either at home or when you arrive at your destination as it helps reduce the profile of the bag to store in tight spaces
3. The back panel sits flush to my back. This is not great in hot and humid weather. Yes...I can then get a very wet back (yuk). Fortunately...the material means if you do sweat it does NOT soak into the pack panel material and it also dries VERY quickly.
▶️▶️ Things to think about
1. It is a big back and packed out will not be the 7kg limit that most Aussie airlines impose on cabin package. It will work if you buy extra cabin baggage allowance.
2. It is a clam shell opening back pack. The back panel folds open meaning you can get to all your stuff easily. It also means that in an emergency or when you are trying to change in a toilet somehere the back panel is hitting the floor as it is hard to balance when it is full and open.
I hope this helps.
I promise you the bag is clean. It has no scratches and it was well taken care of.
I have opted to go a size down and got another bag instead.
I will miss this bag though. Very good option for the right person!
EXTRA STUFF IN THIS PACKAGE INCLUDES THE;
1. Peak Design Travel Tech Pouch Organiser (https://au.peakdesign.com/products/tech-pouch). Absolutely brilliant. Will be sorely missed but is a must-have to go with the travel backpack.
2. There is also the Peak Design Slide Carry strap (https://au.peakdesign.com/products/slide) which is used with the Tech Pouch Organiser to turn it into a Tech Pouch sling. The strap is also designed to fit on most cameras as a very high quality and easily adjustable camera strap. This includes the anchor connectors needed for the strap.
