Very rare sterling silver fully hallmarked cigar box 20cm x 18cm x 5cm featuring a coloured engraving on silver under glass of the first ever steeplechase originally drawn in 1839 by Alken and engraved by Harris. Vintage Blue Bird confectionery tin. From the 1950s or 1960s. Scene on the lid is of Banff, Canada. One of a series of Canadian scenes done by Blue Bird. Impressed on the underside is "Blue Bird Confectionery. Harry Vincent Limited. Hunnington Worcestershir (sic) England" Good condition. Minor dent on one edge of lid. some minor scuffs and scratches. Some discolouration of the bright finish on the inside and underneath. Measures 207mm x 169mm x 43mm.
