ANTIQUE VINTAGE Early 1900s Cough Medicine Bottles X 25

These bottles have been dug up from a buried rubbish site. C.Y O'Conner who built most of Western Australia in the last decade of the 1800's had a granite quarry established in the Darlington - Boya (Western Australia) locality. It was to supply stone for the new Fremantle harbour and railway works. This Quarry is variously known as the State Works quarry or now as the Hudman Quarry. I think it was closed around the time of the second world war.
As was the H&R of the time, itinerant workers lived in shanty huts they built themselves out of scrap nearby. I happen to know where these shanty towns were and when exploring these sites I often find stuff like this. It would seem to relieve ill heath caused by the dust and cold lots of cough expectorant was consumed, (no doubt the alcohol content was a bonus). These 25 bottles came from the area described.
Full of 80 years of dirt they have been cleaned but not perfectly. Also some have chips and breaks. Some are complete. A small one even still has a cork.
The exact age of these bottles is unknown.
