Starlink 12v Plug & Play Conversion Kit
$429
If you are planning to use or have the Starlink Generation 2 Dish in your RV, you may be interested in purchasing one of my high quality Starlink 12v Converter Kits. A 12v kit will use at least 25% less battery power compared to using an inverter to supply 240v to the Starlink Router.
I sell these kits at a price that is not much more than it costs me to buy quality parts. I am not out to make great profit but making them keeps my mind, body and hands alive as years catch up with me! My price of $429 also includes a TP-Link 12v WiFi router which provides as good a coverage, if not better than, the 240v Starlink proprietary router
The kit has a 50x50x10mm, 0.12A, Mini Cooling Fan with its separate on/off switch. (A cooling fan is not installed in most commercial kits but I have added this just as a precaution if using Starlink it in excessive heat conditions.
The whole kit is contained in a fully ventilated, unbreakable, ABS plastic box.
Right now, I have four of these kits available for immediate delivery. I plan to make some more but I am not sure when they will be ready because it depends on the availability of increasingly scarce parts.
As I have done with the half a dozen kits or so that I have already sold, I will deliver the kit in person and assist you set it up at no additional cost if you reside in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie/Lower Hunter area or might be just passing through. If you live further afield, I can send you a kit by Australia Post ($18.75 extra), then help you to set it up over the Phone / WhatsApp / Skype / Messenger, etc, as I have already done successfully with someone in country NSW.
My simple plug-and-play kit completely eliminates any need to connect your dish to the proprietary Starlink Router.
I assemble these kits as just a retirement hobby and I get immense personal satisfaction from seeing them successfully installed in someone's RV giving them high speed internet. The first one I ever made, I installed in my Jayco Outback caravan in July 2023 and it continues to give me incredible internet speed in areas when I am isolated from all other means of communications.
Of note, is that using the special Dishy Adaptor, my 12v kit can be used without having to cut the Starlink cable away from its unique plug. To cut that cable will immediately void your Starlink warranty as well as prevent you from connecting the dish back into your 240v Starlink router if, for example, you were staying in a caravan park or were back at home, unless you bought another Starlink cable ($135 for a 10m cable).
I take pride in building these kits with quality and care, double checking everything I assemble which I believe makes them more reliable than the mostly factory mass-produced kits from China that are then branded and resold in Australia at several times the cost of mine. Some quick research would show that the commercial price of most Starlink Gen 2 12v conversion kits in Australia ranges from over $600 up to $2,500 and, if you read the fine print, most do not include in their price the necessary 3rd party WiFi router and some other essential add-ons.
An 8-page Instruction booklet, including the step-by-step setup detail of connections and WiFi router configuration, comes with the kit. It is written in very plain language and is particularly aimed at novices to Starlink and/or non-technical people. It also contains key tips about managing your Starlink subscription in an economical way and points out the relationship between the widely misunderstood Starlink “Pause”, “Activation” and “Subscription” terms.
