• TONKA is an American producer of toy trucks. The company is known for making steel toy models of construction type trucks and machinery.
In 1976, ten original TONKA MITES vehicles were released. The marketing slogan was ‘Fun to play with alone or together, fun to collect as a whole fleet’. The TONKA MITES were produced for only a few years and production ceased due to copyright issues.
The ten original TONKA MITES were No 141 Van Truck; No 142 Crane; No 143 Aerial Ladder; No 144 Cherry Picker; No. 145 Cargo; No 146 Mixer; No 147 Dump; No. 148 Wrecker; No 149 Sanitary Truck; and No 150 Tanker.
The cabs of the vehicles were made of pressed steel and the rest of the vehicles were plastic. Dimensions are 80 mm in length, 45 mm in width and 43 mm in height. The TONKA MITES are smaller than the TINY TONKA series. All the TONKA MITES vehicles were made in Japan and are branded ‘TONKA’.
The TONKA MITES vehicle offered here is the vehicle body of the No 147 Dump Truck. The tray is missing from the vehicle. The vehicle is a rare find and has become very collectable in recent years. The vehicle has been a child’s plaything and has suffered some playwear. The ‘TONKA’ brand is embossed on the underside of the chassis.
• KINTOY is a Die-Casting Manufactory Limited, a well-established manufacturer in Hong Kong since year 1992, has been specializing in licensed scale model cars with pull back action and openable doors under the brands [KiNSMART® & KINSFUN®].
The KiNSMART® KT5092 1:36 scale is a die cast 2006 vintage FORD GT hardtop with functioning openable car doors measuring 125 mm long, 55 mm wide and 35 mm high. The pull-back friction movement appears to function but fails to propel the car forward. The ‘FORD’ decal is present on the bonnet but the paintwork has a few scrapes that have been the result of playwear.
• Hot Wheels is an American brand of scale model cars introduced by American toymaker Mattel, Inc in 1968. This car is from the ‘Team Hot Wheels’ series which appeared in 2011.
This is a Thailand-made Toy Number T8634 and a 1:64 scale model race car from the 2011 4-Lane Elimination Race 5-Pack. The race car has white, silver and dark blue tampos ‘Med-Evil 33’ on the satin anti-freeze and blue background. The car is fitted with Phil Riehlman designed 5-spoke wheels.
Pick up from Forest Lake or postage extra. Regular Parcel Postage will cost $11.00.
