Circa 1960, the Australian Army Ceremonial Parade Dress and General Duty Dress changed to a Khaki Polyester Uniform. The bade of rank are machine-embroidered on khaki polyester fabric. These badge of rank were introduced for wear on Khaki Polyester Shirts, Safari Jackets and Khaki Sweaters. This style of rank was worn until the 1990s when the present style of rank badges were introduced.
The group consists of one pair of each of the following ranks:
• One pair of Sergeant’s chevrons;
• One pair of Staff Sergeant’s chevrons and small NCO crowns;
• One pair of Warrant Officer Class 2 crowns; and
• One pair of Warrant Officer Class 1 Australian Coat of Arme introduced c.1977.
All the badges of rank are in as new unissued condition.
